Our Threes

Our three-year-old class is designed to support growing independence, confidence, and curiosity. At this age, children are eager to socialize, express themselves, and explore the world around them. Through play-based learning, self-guided exploration, and engaging themes inspired by the children’s interests, students develop foundational skills in early literacy, math, language, and problem-solving.

A strong emphasis is placed on social development as children learn to take turns, share, follow routines, and build friendships in a nurturing classroom environment. Children are encouraged to make choices, explore materials independently, and engage in self-directed play that supports creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. We also incorporate the Heggerty Early Preschool curriculum to build phonemic awareness through fun, interactive activities that strengthen listening skills and early sound recognition—an important foundation for future reading success.

In addition, children are introduced to prayer and age-appropriate Bible lessons that help nurture a love of the Lord and encourage kindness, gratitude, and care for others.
